First Scientific Paper Resulting from RItrain Published
The paper, titled Microbiology Managers: Managerial Training in the RItrain Project, describes the issue arising from the need for leaders of research infrastructures in Europe who are scientists to also have training in management. The RItrain project has addressed this issue by identifying the skills required, locating relevant courses and finding gaps, while establishing a Master of Management programme. In the paper, the authors highlight how the most relevant skills were determined by one contributing microbiology research infrastructure.
The paper was authored by Robert Russell Paterson, Nelson Lima, Cath Brooksbank, Enrico Guarini, Markus Pasterk, Marialuisa Lavitrano on behalf of the RItrain project consortium and is available here.
